The Fluida Station allows you to record certified clock-ins via smartphone using Bluetooth technology, or via NFC Badge (NTAG 213 or 216).
In order to do that, connect the Station to the internet (via SIM card or Wi-Fi) and link it to the location where you want users to clock in.
Set up and install the Station
Before getting started check that:
The Clock-in clock-out feature is enabled for your company.
You have created the location you want to link to the Station.
You have the Station ready.
The Station is not already linked to another location for the same company.
You have Administrator or Power User permissions.
Location services (GPS) and Bluetooth are enabled on your smartphone, and the Fluida app has permission to access them.
You have access to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network or a 2G, 3G, or 4G SIM card.
This short video tutorial covers all the steps to correctly configure your Station and start using it for certified clock-ins 👇🏻
Turn on the Station for the first time
If the battery isn't already inside, remove the front and back covers of the wall mount, remove the Station's back cover, insert the battery into its slot, and reassemble.
Connect the Station to a power outlet using the included USB cable.
If the Station has enough charge, turn it on by pressing the power button above the display.
The Station is now on and ready to connect to the internet.
💡 The Station's battery lasts about two days, though extreme cold may reduce this. We recommend keeping it plugged in at all times for continuous operation.
Connect the Station to the Internet
When you first turn on the Station, the home screen will prompt you to choose a connection method.
Connect via Wi-Fi
Select WiFi Network.
Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password (if required).
Once connected, the device will take a few minutes to install the Kiosk by Fluida app.
Insert a SIM card
Turn off the Station.
Remove the front and back wall mount covers.
Remove the front part of the outer cover by gently pushing upwards from the bottom of the screen.
Remove the battery.
Insert the SIM into the slot inside the battery compartment and reassemble the Station.
💡 If you have the older Station model (FX100), 4G SIM cards are not supported.
Select SIM card.
Restart the Station by pressing the power button above the display.
Once connected, the device will take a few minutes to install the Kiosk by Fluida app.
Open the Kiosk by Fluida app
To open the app on the Station, select Kiosk by Fluida from the main screen.
The Kiosk app will open to the first-time installation screen, displaying the NFC Device ID and the Station model number.
Link the Station to a location
Note: If some employees use smartphones and others use NFC badges, follow the instructions to link the Station for smartphone clock-ins first, then repeat the process for NFC badges.
Link the Station for smartphone clock-ins
Open the Fluida app on your smartphone.
Go to Company > Organization > Workplaces.
Select the workplace you want to link.
Tap Add + next to Bluetooth.
Select the device starting with FX from the list of detected devices.
Tap Next.
You can customize the device name if you wish.
Tap Link to confirm.
The Station is now linked and will appear in the location settings under the Bluetooth section. It is now ready to detect clock-ins for users assigned to that location with "Smartphone" as their clock-in method.
Tip: Perform a test clock-in to verify everything works before permanently mounting the Station.
💡 A single Station can be linked to multiple companies (e.g., in a shared office building) simultaneously.
Link the Station for NFC Badge clock-ins
Log in to Fluida from your PC or smartphone.
Go to Company > Organization > Workplaces.
Select the workplace you want to link.
Tap Add + next to NFC.
Give the device a name and enter the NFC Device ID.
Select Link.
Tap Done on the Station screen to finish and view the clock-in screen.
💡 You can also link the Station for NFC badges directly from the device: open the Kiosk app, tap the settings icon (gear) at the top right, and log in with your Admin or Power User credentials. Select the company and location, then tap Apply.
The Station is now ready for users with "NFC Badge" as their clock-in method. We recommend assigning a badge to your user profile and performing a test clock-in before final installation.
