Enabled locations

Within the user settings, when customizing a user's timestamping rules you can manage the Enabled locations, i.e., the work locations within which that person is authorized to record timestamps.

How enabled locations work

A user is always authorized to record timestamps from their main location, i.e., the one specified in the section At the company, which can be found in their user settings.

Setting up Enabled locations allows a user to record certified timestamps from additional company locations, as long as their other timestamping rules are followed.

A user can always record a timestamp, even from a location that is not among those authorized for them, but the timestamp will not be certified and will require approval.

💡 If a user's on-site timestamping rules are "Without validation", their timestamps will never require approval, even if timestamps are recorded in non-enabled locations.

Set the locations a user is authorized to record timestamps from

Before getting started check that:

  • You have an Administrator profile or a Power User profile.

  • You have created more than one company workplace.

  1. Go to Company > Settings > Users.

  2. Select the user for whom you want to set new enabled locations.

  3. Scroll down to the Timestamping section.

  4. Open the Enabled locations drop-down menu.

  5. Tick the workplace locations you want to authorize that user to record timestamps from.

  6. Select Apply to confirm.

  7. Select Save to record the changes made to that user's settings.

Changes have been made to the user's settings, and they can now record certified timestamps from their new enabled locations without requiring approval.

What could go wrong

I want to enable a location, but I cannot find the workplace in the list

It could be that when you created the company workplace you did not type its address correctly and therefore it was not recognised by Fluida. Check that the address is correctly recognised in the workplace settings.
