Features involved: Clock-in clock-out
During the configuration of a user's clocking rules, if Enabled areas only (GPS) is selected as the remote clocking method, it is necessary to set up that user's personal areas. This way, when that user will work remotely, they will only be able to record certified clockings by geolocating their smartphone within these personal areas.
View a user's personal areas
Before getting started check that:
You have a Power User or Administrator profile.
The remote clocking method you have selected for the user in question is Only authorized areas (GPS).
To view a user's personal areas:
Go to Company > Settings > Users.
Select the user whose personal areas you wish to see.
Scroll down to the clocking section.
Under Personal areas you can view which areas have been designated as authorized areas from which the user in question can record remote clockings via GPS. For each personal area you can view the name, full address, and the maximum radius from this address within which a clocking can be recorded.
Create a personal authorized area
Before getting started check that:
You have a Power User or Administrator profile.
The remote clocking method you have selected for the user in question is Enabled areas only (GPS).
To create a personal area for a user:
Go to Company > Settings > Users.
Select the user for whom you wish to create a personal area.
Scroll down to the clocking section.
Select Add + next to Personal areas.
Give a name to the personal area.
Type in the full address you wish to set up (you can even use Google Plus Codes).
Select the radius (from 100 meters to 2 kilometers) within which the user must be in order to record a clocking with their smartphone's GPS.
Select Add to confirm.
Select Save to record the changes made to that user's settings.
The personal area has been created and is now visible in that user's settings.
When working remotely, the user for whom the personal area was created will be able to record certified clockings via geolocation (GPS) as long as they attempt to do so within their personal area.
🔎 If you add multiple personal areas for a single user, Fluida will not know from which area a clocking is recorded, only that it was recorded Remotely within a personal area.
Edit a personal area
To edit a personal area:
Go to Company > Settings > Users.
Select the user for whom you wish to create an authorized personal area.
Scroll down to the clocking section.
Select the area you wish to edit.
Edit the name, the address and the radius of the area.
Select Save to confirm.
Select Save to record the changes made to that user's settings.
The area has been edited and is now visible in that user's settings.
Delete a personal area
To delete a personal area:
Go to Company > Settings > Users.
Select the user for whom you wish to delete a personal area.
Scroll down to the clocking section.
Select the area you wish to delete.
Select Delete area.
Select Save to record the changes made to that user's settings.
The personal area has been deleted and is no longer visible in that user's settings.
