If your smartphone settings allow it, you can enable authentication via fingerprint or facial recognition. By doing so, you will no longer have to type in your password to access your Fluida account.
Enable authentication via fingerprint or facial recognition
Before getting started check that:
If you have an iPhone, you have enabled Face ID or Touch ID and the Fluida app is authorized to use them.
If you have an Android device, you have enabled fingerprint recognition in the security settings.
You have installed the latest version of the Fluida app.
When you log in, Fluida suggests enabling quick access via fingerprint or facial recognition: to enable it, select Enable.
Access Fluida via fingerprint or facial recognition
Before getting started check that:
You have enabled authentication via Touch ID or Face ID on Apple devices, or via fingerprint recognition for Android devices.
If you log out of the app, Fluida remembers the last user whose credentials were used and automatically prompts you to access the app via fingerprint or facial recognition: look at your smartphone screen or place your finger on the fingerprint sensor in order to complete the authentication process.
If the app does not recognise you or you are not offered quick access, tap the fingerprint or face icon next to the password field to try again.
Disable authentication via fingerprint or facial recognition
If you prefer to type in your password to access your account, you can disable fingerprint and facial recognition access.
To do so:
Open the Fluida app.
Tap on your profile icon.
Select Settings and uncheck Use fingerprint (if you have an Android device) or Use Face ID & Touch ID (if you have an iPhone).
I am not prompted to enable authentication via fingerprint or facial recognition
If after logging in to Fluida you are not prompted to enable access via fingerprint or facial recognition:
Open the Fluida app.
Tap on your profile icon.
Select Settings and uncheck Use fingerprint (if you have an Android device) or Use Face ID & Touch ID (if you have an iPhone).
Fluida suggests that you log out and log back in to enable quick access.
Select Restart Now to log back into Fluida by entering your password and activate quick access. If you select Activate later, you will be prompted to activate quick access the next time you log in.
I can't find "Use Fingerprint" or "Use Face ID or Touch ID" in the Profile Settings
The options "Use fingerprint" and "Use Face ID or Touch ID" can be found in Profile Settings starting with version 1.11.6 of the Fluida app. If the app is up-to-date and you still do not see the option, check your smartphone settings.
If you have an iPhone, Face ID or Touch ID must be enabled, and the Fluida app must be authorized to use them. See Apple's user manual to learn more:
If you have an Android device, verify that fingerprint recognition has been enabled in the security settings.
