When you submit a certified clock-in, Fluida confirms your presence at an authorized workplace by locating your smartphone. This is done via GPS or by detecting a nearby Bluetooth device, such as a Fluida Spot.
Use your smartphone to clock in whenever you want to record the start or end of your workday, or to declare your presence at work.
How to perform a certified clock-in
Before getting started check that:
You have enabled your device for clocking in.
If your rules require you to clock in from a company workplace, make sure you meet the requirements for GPS clock-ins or Bluetooth clock-ins.
If your rules allow for certified remote clock-ins, make sure you meet the requirements for remote GPS clock-ins.
To perform a certified clock-in:
Open the Fluida app.
On the Home screen, tap the clock-in button. It will show the expected direction: Clock in for entry, Clock out for exit, or Present to declare your presence.
💡 The clock-in direction is automatically calculated based on your rules and any previous entries.
If this is your first time clocking in, you will be asked to enable your device and authorize Fluida to access your location and find nearby Bluetooth devices.
If your smartphone is already enabled, the localization process will start. If Fluida detects you are within an authorized area, the clock-in is recorded. You can then view it on the Home screen under the current time, in your clock-in reports, and on your calendar (if the Attendance Management feature is active).
💡 If your rules allow you to clock in From anywhere without validation while working remotely, you will see a Remote working button during localization. Tapping it will instantly record a clock-in with Remote as the location.
Fluida never saves your location data when you clock in! All checks required to confirm your position and record the clock-in happen locally on your device. Actual coordinates are never transmitted to Fluida or any server. [Read here] for more information.
