A calendar is used to place events and information in time — to know what is expected on a given day, to remember what happened on past days, and to plan future activities.
On Fluida the principle is the same, but applied to working life: Fluida collects, day by day and person by person, all events related to attendance and work activity, bringing them together in the Attendance calendar. Fluida's calendar thus becomes the operational record of working life in the company.
💡 The information recorded in the attendance calendar can also be analyzed through the in-app reports or the available exports, to process, share, or use it for administrative tasks.
What is the calendar for?
Checking the calendar allows you to know in advance what to expect from a given day, verify that what was recorded matches what was planned, and quickly identify any attendance anomalies or missing information and correct them. At the end of the day, the calendar shows a summary with the total regular hours, overtime, and absence hours: an immediate overview of how the working day went, which becomes the basis for accurate payslip processing at the end of the month. Keeping the calendar up to date is therefore essential both to ensure the accuracy of attendance reports and to give colleagues and managers visibility on your daily operations — for example in case of holidays, leave, or remote working days.
What does the calendar contain?
The calendar is populated and updated over time with all the information related to a person's attendance and work activity:
Work schedule and location. Calculated based on the weekly work schedule and the person's main workplace. It can also be specified through shift and workplace planning.
Company closing days — applicable to specific workplaces or to the entire company, treated as holidays or as simple rest days.
The initial situation can then be modified with events:
Justifications — absences, remote working and extra attendances entered via a justification.
Clock-in and clock-out entries (if the Clock-in clock-out feature is active).
Anomalies — absences to be justified or unplanned attendances, which arise when clock entries do not match what was expected from the shift.
To close each day, a summary shows the total regular hours, overtime, and absence hours: the synthesis of everything recorded during the day.
💡 If the relevant features are active, the calendar also displays information about activities carried out during the day and expenses incurred on behalf of the company.
How do you access the calendar?
From the Home screen, clicking on Calendar opens the weekly calendar of all active people in the company, showing a brief summary of each day of the week for each person. Clicking on a single day opens the daily calendar of an individual person, which shows in detail all the day's events: what was planned, what was recorded, and whether there are items to check or complete.
💡 Several views of the attendance calendar are available (daily, weekly, and monthly views), each serving different purposes.
Who can view and edit the calendar?
The ability to view and edit your own calendar, or that of another person, depends on your role and the permissions configured in the company (such as privacy settings and the status of entries on the calendar).
