Automatically resolve presence and absence anomalies

Written by Fulvia Chesi

The Automatic resolution of anomalies extension automatically fixes unexpected presence and unjustified absence anomalies. It applies a justification based on defined rules, drastically reducing manual and repetitive tasks.

With the automatic resolution of anomalies, you can set up rules to handle the most common scenarios automatically. This eliminates repetitive work, leaving only the cases that need attention for you to review. For example, you can set a rule to automatically recognize up to 2 hours of unexpected presence as Overtime. If someone works an extra hour and a half, Fluida will automatically apply the justification. If the extra work exceeds 2 hours, the system will only cover the amount allowed by the rule, leaving the rest flagged for a manual check.

Follow this guide to find out how to activate, configure, and get the most out of automatic resolution of anomalies.

Activate the Automatic resolution of anomalies extension

Before configuring the automatic anomaly resolution feature, you need to activate its extension. To do this, the Administrator should go to Company > Settings > Extensions > go to Connect > search for Risoluzione Automatica Anomalie extension > Activate on Fluida > Activate.

Add a rule for automatic anomaly resolution

Once the extension is active, add one or more rules to define how Fluida will automatically resolve anomalies. Each rule specifies the type of justification to apply, the anomaly category (Extra work or Absences), the people involved (the whole company or specific users), and the maximum justifiable duration of the anomaly.

To add a rule, go to Company > Settings > Attendance management > Automatic resolution of anomalies > Add rule > fill in the required fields > Save.

💡 Fluida provides two default rules (one for unexpected attendance and one for unexcused absences). You can enable and edit them if needed.

Monitor automatic anomaly resolution

Starting the day after a rule is enabled, Fluida will begin automatically resolving anomalies that meet your criteria. To check if an anomaly was resolved automatically, click on the applied justification in the calendar to view its details. This will show you if it was added automatically by Divinator (Fluida's technology for automatic anomaly resolution).

Anything Fluida cannot resolve automatically will remain flagged as an anomaly. Anomalies not covered by any rule will be flagged in full (for example, if an anomaly occurs on the calendar of someone excluded from a rule, or if no rule has been created to handle unexpected attendance). If an anomaly exceeds the maximum duration set by the rule (e.g., a rule justifies up to 90 minutes of extra work, but the anomaly lasts 120 minutes), the system will justify the maximum amount possible, leaving the remaining time flagged for manual review and intervention.
