Administrators and Power Users can define how employees record their time when working at authorized company locations. These modes can be set for the entire company or customized for individual users based on their roles and company policies.
You can choose whether the time and location must be certified via NFC, Bluetooth or GPS technology or allow non-certified clock-ins, where the user manually enters their time and location.

Employees must certify their presence on-site
When you need to guarantee that a clock-in or clock-out occurs exactly at the authorized location and time, you should choose a certified mode. Fluida offers three technological validation options: GPS via smartphone, Bluetooth via smartphone, or NFC badges via a Station.
The right choice depends on the level of precision required and whether employees can use their smartphones to track time.
Employees can clock in within 200m–2km of the location
If certification within a few hundred meters of the office address is sufficient, choose the Smartphone clocking mode. Remember to enable GPS clocking for that location and set a radius between 200 meters and 2 km.
The user clocks in directly from the Fluida app. The smartphone uses GPS to verify they are within the authorized area.
Pros: No physical badges or hardware installations are required, and setup can be done remotely.
Cons: It is less precise than Bluetooth (which has a 10m range) and can be affected by GPS signal quality.
💡 If a user is outside the radius or forgets to clock in, they can still enter a non-certified manual clock-in. Depending on your settings, this may require manager approval.
Employees can clock in within 10m of the location
For more precise location verification, choose the Smartphone clocking mode and pair a Bluetooth device (Beacon/Spot) with the location.
The app uses Bluetooth to verify that the person is within approximately 10 meters of the installed device.
Pros: High precision while maintaining the convenience of using a smartphone. Devices are easy to install and don't require an internet connection or constant power supply.
Cons: Requires physical installation of at least one device on-site.
Employees must clock in at a specific point
If employees don't have company smartphones or cannot install the app on personal devices, choose NFC Badge mode. You will need to pair a Station with the location and assign an NFC badge to each employee.
Pros: A traditional and highly accurate method that requires the physical presence of the badge at the reader.
Cons: Requires a Station that is powered and connected to the internet. Physical badges can also be lost or shared.
Employees can record presence without NFC, GPS or Bluetooth technology verification
If employees are allowed to report their time without location or time verification, select No validation.
Users manually enter the time and location to mark the start and end of their workday. These entries do not generate approval requests and can be made from both the app and a web browser.
Pros: Maximum flexibility; works from any device without hardware or app requirements.
Cons: Time and location are not verified. However, Fluida always records the "system time" (when the entry was actually made) even if the user specifies a different time.
