The Fluida Spot is a compact device that uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to record certified clock-ins made via smartphone within a company location. It is powered by two replaceable AA alkaline batteries with a lifespan of approximately 5 years. The snap-open casing makes battery replacement quick and easy.
Set up and install your Fluida Spot
Before you begin:
Have your Fluida Spot ready.
Ensure the Spot isn't already paired with another location for the same company.
Log in with an Administrator or Power User profile.
Install the Fluida app on your smartphone.
Enable Location Services (GPS) and Bluetooth on your phone, ensuring the Fluida app has permission to access both.
Create the location you want to pair in the app.
Turn on the Spot for the first time
Open the snap-open casing and remove any transparent battery pull-tabs. The Fluida Spot is now powered on and ready to be paired with a location.
Pair the Spot with a company location
Open the Fluida app.
Go to Company > Organization > Workplaces.
Select the workplace you want to pair with the Fluida Spot.
Select Add + next to the Bluetooth entry.
Select the detected Spot name (e.g.,
BlueUp-<device number>).Select Next.
Optionally, customize the device name.
Select Confirm.
The Fluida Spot is now linked to the location and visible under the Clock-ins section of the workplace settings. It can now detect clock-ins from users assigned to that location who use their smartphone as a clocking method.
We recommend performing a test clock-in to verify the device is working correctly before permanently mounting it.
💡 Customizing the Spot’s name is helpful if you plan to install multiple devices at the same location (e.g., one at each entrance of a large building).

Inside the Fluida Spot package, you will find:
The Fluida Spot, including two AA alkaline batteries.
A wall mount (snap-on) and adhesive strip for installation.
Placement tips
Once the Spot is configured and tested, you can move it to its permanent position.
Using the included adhesive strip, we recommend placing the Spot in a secure location where it won't be bumped or damaged (e.g., high up on a wall or inside a drawer). Keep in mind that clock-ins are detected within a range of approximately 10 meters from the Spot.
Your Fluida Spot is now ready. Ensure that "Smartphone" is selected as the on-site clocking rule for users at this location.
💡 Note: The Spot is not suitable for outdoor installation as it has an IP40 protection rating.
