If your company has enabled the Clock-in clock-out feature, you may be required to record certified clock ins when you are at the office (via GPS or Bluetooth) or working remotely (via GPS).
Before recording your first clock-in, there are a few steps to follow: first, accept the invitation to join your company and download the Fluida app on your smartphone. Once you've logged in, you can proceed with your first entry as explained below.
Record your first certified clock-in
1. Start the clock-in process
On the Fluida home screen, you will find the clock-in button in the top right corner, below your name.
If you are required to clock in at least twice a day, you will see the Clock In button (or Clock Out, if you have already started your shift).
If only one daily entry is required, the button will say Present.
Tap the button to record your first entry.
💡 The clock-in button is only available on the smartphone app. If you access Fluida from a computer, you can only enter manual (non-certified) clock ins.
2. Enable your device
To record certified clock ins, you must authorize the specific smartphone you will be using. This security step ensures that every entry is personal and verified. By enabling the device, you confirm it is the only one you will use to personally clock in.
Tap Enable device to confirm. Your company administrators will receive a notification whenever a new device is enabled.
💡 If you switch to a different phone in the future, you will need to repeat this enablement process.
3. Authorize Location Services (GPS)
When the Allow location access screen appears, tap Proceed and select Allow while using the app.
This is necessary for Fluida to verify your position and allow a certified clock-in when it detects you are within an authorized company location. Fluida only accesses your location at the exact moment you clock in, fully respecting your privacy.
4. Authorize Bluetooth
When the Allow Bluetooth access screen appears, tap Proceed and select Allow.
This allows Fluida to detect and communicate with nearby Bluetooth clock-in devices. Fluida only uses Bluetooth to validate your clock-in at the moment you record it.
5. Wait for the location result
Once the device is enabled and permissions are granted, the app will attempt to verify your location. If successful, a green confirmation banner will appear at the bottom of the screen, and your clock-in time will be displayed on the Home screen under the current time.
Troubleshooting
Fluida cannot locate me and I see the "Invalid Area" error
Check our guide on how to resolve smartphone clock-in issues. Ensure that both GPS and Bluetooth are turned on and that the Fluida app has the necessary permissions in your phone's system settings.
I don't see the clock-in button
If the button is missing, your assigned rules might not require certified clock-ins via the app. For example:
You might be required to clock in using an NFC Badge at the office.
You might not be required to clock in while working remotely.
Geofencing might not be required for your specific profile.
To check your rules, go to People > [Your Name] > Clock-in clock-out section.
If certified clock-ins are not required for your profile, you can simply record your presence by adding a manual clock-in using the + / New button. If you believe your settings are incorrect, contact your manager to update your profile.
