When working night shifts, the clock-ins for a single work session span two different days. For example, an employee starting a shift at 10:00 PM and finishing at 6:00 AM the following day records an entry and an exit on two different dates.
To simplify managing these scenarios, Fluida includes an Overnight clock-in feature (Overnight stamping) by default. This feature treats the two clock-ins as a single work session, attributing all hours to the first day.
Depending on your needs—for example, if payroll requires hours to be accounted for on the actual day they were worked—an Administrator or Power User can disable this feature.
Disable the Overnight clock-in (Overnight stamping) feature
Before you start:
You must have an Administrator or Power User profile.
The Clock-in clock-out feature must be enabled for your company.
To enable or disable overnight clock-ins:
Go to Company > Settings.
Select Clock-in clock-out.
Select Advanced options.
Disable (or re-enable) the Overnight stamping feature.
Click Save to confirm.
The changes are now active: from now on, every clock-in will be counted on the day it actually occurred.
