Defining a person’s total weekly hours

Written by Fulvia Chesi

A person’s total weekly hours represent the standard working time defined by the employment contract between the company and the employee for each work week.

Administrators and Power Users can set this value in each worker's profile to ensure it aligns with their weekly attendance calendar. If the Shift Planning feature is active, you can use the calendar or visual planner to check for any weekly discrepancies. Additionally, correctly configuring this value ensures the system accurately calculates the accrual of vacation days, personal leave, and former public holidays, keeping the relevant balance trackers up to date.

Set a user's total weekly hours

Before you begin:

  • You must have an Administrator or Power User profile.

  • The Attendance Management feature must be enabled for your company.

To define a user's total weekly hours:

  1. Go to Company > Settings > Users.

  2. Select the person you want to update.

  3. Expand the Attendance Management section.

  4. In the Total weekly hours field, enter the number of weekly hours specified in their contract using decimal format (for example, enter 22.5 for 22 hours and 30 minutes).

  5. Click Save to confirm.

The contractually agreed weekly hours are now visible in the user's details and can be used to verify consistency with their attendance calendar.

💡 Note: This change will only affect the current week and future weeks.
